January 2025 is not just the beginning of a new year. We reach the quarterly notch for this century. January is the beginning of a new cycle, one in which things that you may have taken for granted may begin to melt away if you don’t value them. This next cycle can prove to be the greatest challenge since the world wars but it can also bring transcendence. Everything begins to change slowly at first, grinding along but it then begins picking up speed. There are enormous opportunities that happen not just personally but collectively. In your own life this occurs by having truth lead the way forward for you and for those who are following along with you. It means the willingness to awaken from your sleep to see the world as God created it.
What helps in this transition time is to realize that what you perceive is coming from what is in your mind and to let go of any guilt or blame from the past. Blame, grievances and righteousness hide a great deal of guilt and this distorts how and what you perceive in your life. With guilt we punish ourselves and this is neither psychologically nor spiritually true. But it is personally true in that the ego as our personal mind does almost anything to keep our attachments, dark beliefs, guilt or fear in order to keep itself intact. It has us value what was valueless and then makes us depressed at the outcome.
God did not create guilt or disappointment so they don’t really exist. We made guilt whenever we separated though we blamed someone else in that event in order to hide our fatal desire to be both special and separate. Disappointment comes from having depended on something that wasn’t our Source. Reflect on your life and let go of any sense of entitlement except for your entitlement as God’s Child. Did you really think your way was better than God’s Way? Did you think having your way was better than partnering with your partner? Other than a genius, a group’s choice will always prove smarter than a solitary individual. Partnering is the way to move forward.
Reflect on where you have attachments especially with those close to you as attachments are counterfeit love and by letting go you save yourself future sufferings. If you have suffered, it shows a place where you still have attachments that you could be let go of. Holding on is a form of taking and therefore attack. Let go of everything that you think of as saving you, such as coffee, self-concepts, your good looks, money, sex, friends, status. They are not your Source. When they are let go of they fall into a true perspective and no longer hold you back. Examine where you have made things or people into idols because false gods lead to pain, disappointment and disillusionment. Idols block grace and miracles because you are depending on something without substance that will fail you and lead to suffering. You can look at every time you suffered and find idols that can now be relinquished so that they can be replaced by what has real value. Every idol and attachment we have is meant to cover over a place of pain and separation.
The energy of January is meant to be a clean break with the past to allow brilliant new beginnings so now is the time to let go of obstacles and past pain. Carry no emotions into the New Year. Let the past go and your fear will dissolve. Your emotions generate chaos, ambivalence and come about through misinterpretations of what were meant to be soul lessons, transforming what was painful into a new expansiveness once learned. Learning can easily come about now by simply letting go or simply turning issues over to the Holy Spirit to undo. The freer you are as the New Year starts, the better response you can have to what is in front of you. There may be some type of downturn coming out of our collective mind around the tenth of January. This can show up in many different forms for the people involved. In regard to this new cycle it is crucial to put your future in the Hands of God and to Rest in God (A Course in Miracles). We can embrace our innocence personally or collectively. In the coming cycle we will be asked to be at peace while letting go of our laws of chaos hidden inside but reflected outside. We are called to help those who call for our help so we can call on Heaven’s help whenever we need it and finally to know we are entitled to miracles as God’s Child. If we are not trying to make the miracle happen we can ask the Holy Spirit to give us one. It is important to remember our Oneness with God because then we know we can face anything and with our shared limitlessness have effect on whatever is happening in the world. Star athletes rest and relax until they are called upon to play. I would suggest you do the same, resting in the Hands of God until something comes for you to handle.
A new way is about to unfold. If you fight the wave you may end up drinking it. If you surrender to it (not giving up or compromising) but going with the flow of it you can surf it or even change the downturn of it into an upswing. If you resist it, you reinforce both your dark experience and the beliefs that led to it as if it were true and not just a lesson to learn or an illusion to dispel. Illusions come from separation and fear and your love and Heaven’s Love together could dispel any fear. This is a crucial time for partnership. Where there is surrender there is joining and peace, which empowers you to bring partnership where it is needed for this new level. This path of surrender is a principle of Mastery and it allows you to remain in peace no matter what is happening on the outside.
Let yourself listen within. Simply say yes to hearing your Guidance. You are never asked do more than you and God could accomplish together. For instance, you can be happy in spite of any outside circumstance. You could choose to influence your life and that of others by always choosing to give and extend yourself as best you can toward Unity, which is the realization that everyone is part of the whole. We are all threads in the same tapestry and by keeping Unity in mind as both the goal and the ultimate identity we heal and unfold toward it. Don’t oppose what your mind has projected or the dark script you are writing for yourself and others or you are fighting yourself. In every negative experience that occurs, we consciously didn’t want it but it could not have happened unless we also wanted it at some level at the same time. When things go bad, it is always a demonstration that your ego was planning the situation. This January it is important to catch yourself when you have a split mind as evidenced by when you suffer or when what happens on the outside is different than how you seemed to want it. The healing can be simple, call in Christ or Quan Yin to bring their Oneness into your split mind, however meaningless these splits are. This melts away all forms and leads you forward to a new stage of wholeness. Reflect back on your life to any painful situation and ask for Divine Presence that brings your mind to wholeness and self-love. Let yourself receive all the blessings and bounty offered this month. If you are cracked open let the light stream out from deep within you. It shows a prison has fallen away. Avail yourself of each opportunity to leap forward. Know you are blessed beyond measure as God’s Child. Choose to be happy and share your joy. Guidance is always there showing you the way. This is a month where you can relinquish the beliefs and self-concepts that you made in order to separate so that you can know that you are a being of light and a Child of God, deserving ease, peace and all good things.
