March 2026 is a powerful month. It will show you your relationship to yourself and therefore to success and power. In March you can recover where you lost yourself in sacrifice and guilt through misunderstanding. The opposite of true power is the guilt and the fear it hides. Guilt blocks your power and recognition of your Source, where all power comes from. Your guilt comes from judgment and separation, blaming another for victimizing you. The subconscious shows how you wrote every victim script for some ego reason, such as independence, being right or doing things your way. You could have saved the situation with your gifts, love and choice for truth. This choice brings the bonding that restores right relationships but instead you chose the ego’s path of separation and pain. As you take responsibility for every event in your life, for then what was denied is revealed as truth and what you hid is disclosed until you realize everyone is innocent. Truth reveals your collusion and mistaken choices in every victim event, which can now be corrected through accountability. The ego always impugns another’s guilt, which is a sure sign it has hidden your own guilt along with the fear that prevents you from moving forward. Yet accountability and responsibility are not guilt. Responsibility and accountability give you power and responsiveness; guilt takes them away. Everyone is responsible. No one is guilty. God didn’t create guilt; so it doesn’t really exist. Only your investment in the belief of guilt and sin makes them seem real to you. How could God, Who is Innocence Itself create guilt? Innocence is strength and it never attacks because attack stems from weakness and the belief in separation and a hierarchy of truths. We then believe that others’ values are wrong and because they are different they are therefore enemies. Your innocence first frees you and then frees the world. If you feel guilty you are looking through the ego’s eyes and you see guilt in everyone. Guilt separates you and others seeing a world of difference. A separated world is a world of darkness and conflict where, out of fear, people seek to dominate or hide but are not their authentic selves. Real power empowers. It ends separation and brings greater equality. Real power joins and integrates. Difference brings fear and fear constricts coming from your own attack thoughts that you perceive coming back to you. Judgment and attack thoughts leave you in a world of conflict. The healing of differences brings joining, sharing and the reciprocity of equals. Healing bridges the gap from one in greater wholeness to one who, at the moment, feels less wholeness. Your healing and peace radiate out to the world, freeing it of illusions. A Course in Miracles asks:
Do I desire a world I rule instead of one that rules me?
Do I desire a world where I am powerful instead of helpless?
Do I desire a world in which I have no enemies and cannot sin?
And do I desire to see what I denied because it is the truth?
Sometimes people balk at the first question “Do I desire a world I rule rather than one that rules me” because they don’t want to rule. This is because they have guilt about misusing power in the past, usually from a past relationship or even a “past life” or ancestral problem passed down. Many people can still answer the first question affirmatively, but they gloss over the last question about seeing the truth of what they denied. What you denied shows up as part of every experience in which you suffered. The subconscious reveals your complicity in your pain and desolation. They gave you an excuse to be independent and do things your way and thus separate. To separate we need someone to blame because we certainly don’t want to blame ourselves unless that blame also serves an ego purpose such as holding on and avoiding the lesson up for learning. Our separation makes all involved both guilty and painful. We use blame and feel victimized when we break away, projecting out that somebody else harmed us rather than recognizing it as self-punishment and as a script we wrote. Nobody wants pain and we think if we can blame another for our pain it lessens our pain and guilt. This is the opposite of what is true. But like almost all the ego tells us, it is wrong because it is based on old beliefs, falsehoods and past mistakes that come from judgment. Judgment, blame and separation increase guilt in both you and others but, in truth, our problems are simply mistakes used to hide our fear about going forward. Mistakes can be corrected restoring confidence and wholeness.
The most common age for heartbreak and feelings of defeat in our generation comes from the age of three years old. It occurs when we chose to use some painful event in order not to embrace our power and purpose because our purpose seems too big for us. At three years old we used some situation to suffer and blame someone for what was our excuse to run from our “calling.” It is this purpose that would fulfill us and help us learn valuable soul lessons the easy way. What is lost at three years old becomes both heartbreaking and defeating patterns that stay with us for our whole life unless we heal it. This trauma becomes a step into smallness. It is the truancy from our greatness and higher mind.
Every dark emotion, every painful event, comes down to fear. We are afraid of going forward. We are afraid of our freedom and what might befall us. We are afraid of our gifts and intimacy. We are afraid of our greatness. We are afraid of Heaven’s plan for us, and we instead chose to learn our lessons the hard way on our own without grace.
If you failed tests regarding power in past lives, you will be shy of power in this life. If you abused power in the past, you will be shy of power now, just at a time when your power which is synonymous with faith and confidence is most needed. This is the power that frees others by your innocence and embraces the power of trust that heals all things. Your innocence empowers and your power is also synonymous with peace, wholeness and willingness. Willingness is the part that we give knowing Heaven does the rest.
All power is from God. You can ask that the Holy Spirit if you tend to worry, to come into your mind and be in charge of your power and your success. The Holy Spirit can work through you in whatever you do making it easy and graceful. True power never subjugates. It never controls as that comes from the weakness and fear from the ego. True power guides and directs; it can only free and release others. It has the authority of the truth. What you give your power and faith to, you make stronger. If you give faith toward an illusion it seems real to you at first, becoming a belief that constricts you until you divest yourself of it. Hopefully this occurs before the pain of a disillusionment. Letting go is so much easier.
Truth leads you to partnership and wholeness. Illusions bring pain and missteps. Truth brings ease and freedom. We are here in this world to forgive and free it of illusions thus recovering ourselves. We become ever more bonded within ourselves and with others, as we forgive. This leads to love, peace, confidence and greater success. The world outside represents our beliefs inside about ourselves and what we didn’t like we project outward. Forgiveness and joining heal us and as a result the world unifies rather than divides bringing light and unity rather than darkness and division. The more we heal and unify ourselves, the brighter the world becomes and the more successful we naturally are.
The holy relationship is one of the best ways to win back not only yourself and your partner but Heaven also. This is the opposite of a special relationship where we come together out of attraction for one another to meet our needs. This occurs until we feel there is nothing more to gain from them and then we leave. Or we stay in sacrifice out of guilt from our taking. All the pain in relationships comes from a special relationship where we make all that doesn’t go our way, a personal attack, rather than a lesson to learn. A holy relationship is meant to join beyond the body as it is not who we are only a shell vehicle for learning. While the holy relationship on the other hand is meant to join mind-to-mind beyond any differences. As differences fall away there is only unity, then union and finally Oneness as the light and love grow between you and your partner helping you remember your relationship with the Creator. In general, what you have judged, denied and repressed are now the differences you experience with your partner. As you have judged yourself in the past, so you judge your partner now. On the way to wholeness, you see your differences with your partner as what you have judged and buried in yourself. This allows you to feel you’ve won over them by being superior. Yet in this way the ego wins and you, your partner and your relationship lose. In this, you get to be right and better and your partner less and wrong. This competition of winning and withdrawal so as not to lose is destructive to a relationship. On the other hand in a holy relationship you can give your differences and vicious circles of winning and losing as mistakes to be easily dissolved to the Holy Spirit.
All problems show where you are afraid to trust and go forward. Your problems are an excuse to slow down and control Your illnesses and self-attack are some of the ego’s best ways of hiding your fear and keeping you stuck. Giving love to others heals fear. Healing transforms fear into both confidence and the willingness to go forward. Grace heals fear. You could ask Quan Yin or the Holy Spirit to come into your mind and bring peace. In A Course in Miracles, it suggests we invite the Holy Spirit into our mind a hundred times a day, bringing peace, light and God’s Love to deal with any problem or distraction. When you do this enough times, you begin identifying with the Holy Spirit part of your mind instead of the personal ego part of your mind. It is this Higher Mind that is beyond illusions and contains both the solutions and the safety in this perilous time. You can become a temple for Quan Yin, one of her thousand Hands of Mercy for all who come to you for solace. She will work through you every time you call on her. She has made it to Oneness and experienced every issue we are going through now “She knows the way” and will guide us home if we ask. Our ego way led to pain and misfortune. Heaven’s way is a path of peace and beauty.
It is love that allows you how to take and hold power. To do it lovelessly is to do it in order to feed your ego, which is competitive and exclusive making it all about “you”. To embrace power with love brings about a service that fulfills you, not a sacrifice that calls attention back to you, and to your personal self and supposed spiritual superiority. It isn’t just self-less service; it is the Higher Self in service. When the goal is still Oneness with the Source, the rest remains illusionary and incidental, falling away as unimportant. In this way you are not distracted and caught up in the meaninglessness and unreality of the world.
Your misery comes from disillusionment and the answer to misery is to realize that whatever you put your faith in was an illusion and this was the result was a shattered dream that came from a sense of privilege about how life should be for you. To be disillusioned and have shattered dreams is the hard way to give up what is false and what can’t sustain you. Truth, if desired, becomes the easy way. Truth naturally opens up partnering and we are called to give up the illusions that we cherish such as doing it all by ourselves and having what we feel we are entitled to. What we cherish is what we hold onto. We don’t have to relinquish attachments until we experience the rude awakening of shattered dreams. Illusions are based on fear and future disillusionment. They break us out of attachments in a way that we find so troubling and uncomfortable that we may simply seek another illusion to take its place and keep our general world view. This can generate a vicious circle of illusion and disillusionment until we let go of seeking outside ourselves for our happiness.
Bruno Buttleheim, a foremost psychiatrist in the 1960’s, said that people die of disappointment where some expectation and fantasy failed them. It was where some last hope was extinguished. Truth is eternal and in depending on the eternal, we find no disappointment. Many of us turned away from our families or withdrew to a certain extent from relationships because of shattered dreams. What we were depending on couldn’t sustain us. Sometimes religion soured for us because we were disillusioned or because we felt forced, which led to our reaction against it. But now we are called to realize that the spiritual is what gives us meaning. The spiritual is love, joy and healing. What we invested in falsely has led to our misery and disillusionment. Meaning comes from bonding. It is not what we get or take. It is what we give and receive. Now we are called to let the past go and open ourselves to Heaven’s meaning. Only what has true meaning can sustain us now.
In our lives, at least once or twice it occurs that we reach a crossroads where we cannot go further without making a choice. If we were afraid and caved instead of choosing Heaven’s alternative, we gave up our true self and became who we thought the world wanted us to be. We built a life of sacrifice, resentment and burnout. Yet, it was our mistaken choice to have us attempt to be someone we are not. As Rita Mae Brown put it: “The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you but yourself.” We can go back to these places where we were afraid to be ourselves and choose once again following Heaven’s path up to the present, while erasing the years of sacrifice and the burnout that goes with it. You can choose once again (A Course in Miracles) If we are not true to ourselves, we can’t be true to anyone.
To regain your power is to regain your true self. You can do this by the simple request of inviting the Holy Spirit into your mind many times a day for peace and for truth. Heaven wants your mind ordered, for order is truth and it brings love, partnership and joy. As you think of God more and more, gradually your ego mind melts away as the part of your mind that is the Holy Spirit becomes the only mind you have. As a result more and more of your unlimited power and bliss are restored. As you release your brother you free yourself. As you release your brother and yourself, you release the world. You are coming back to your true Self, the one where you were created that is one with God and His infinite love. You can connect with God many times a day until your mind remembers your power of miracles and you see the world through Heaven’s eyes of innocence. In this way the world can be saved.
It’s time to go inward to balance the strong and natural outwardness of March.
