We use so many things to distract us such as how we are feeling, what’s going on in our lives, etc. We want to devour the world and are angry when we feel thwarted. Yet it is only we who can deprive ourselves and we make up all these rules to stop us from devouring the world. We are angry about it to distract us from the Holy Child of God being born in us. Two things especially help as you await the birth. The first is to surround yourself with God’s holy Thoughts and the second is to write down all that you have to be thankful for while all the time witnessing the birth of the Christ within you.
