A young tree is elastic. It can be bent and shaped as desired. And so it grows up, its trunk and branches become more stable and it becomes the tree that the gardener would like to have. However: is that its true form?
When we were kids, we had limitless confidence. We danced and played and didn’t care what the “others” thought of it. And then life happens and “shaped” us.
We are brought up, taught rules and morals. We grow up with these experiences. We also lose our elasticity and the person we are today is born. With all of our pages. The good ones and those we don’t like so much.
And we try to adapt to please society. Here we are a little trimmed, because a bit trimmed. However: is this our true form?
Deep inside us is this wonderful young tree that only wants to go to the sun. Here comes the good news: This is exactly what God wanted you to do. In the same way, God wanted to enrich the world around you. Just like that. No more. And nothing less.
You’re Marvellous. Maybe you just forgot it.
